Build a Blade DIY Knife Making Kit

These DIY knife building kits come with the knife blank of your choosing (all of the blanks are approximately 1/8” thick and are made from 80CRV2 high carbon steel), two 1/8” nickel silver handle pins, and your choice of either flame birch, Honduran rosewood, black and orange Damascus pattern g10, or black and white Damascus pattern g10 handle scales. 

You can order the kit as is, or you can order it with the blank pre-heat treated! That way all the tricky stuff about normalizing, hardening, and tempering the blade is already done when it gets to your door! Just grind your bevels, cut and glue your handle material, shape and finish the handle, and finally get it sharp!! 

These kits make it easy for those you are interested in getting into Knifemaking to take their first leap without a heavy investment into specialty tools.
